I lived in Shilo from 72-77. Would love to hear from anyone I went to school with. I'm also on the Shilo facebook group.

I retired after 25 years in the air force and live in Edmonton.

CFB Shilo will always be special to me. It's amazing that I remember almost everyone I come across from Shilo, even though I have forgotten friends from other places. I'm so glad my parents settled in Brandon; it has brought me to Shilo many times, for many reunions, and to walk around the places I rode my bike, went to school, became best friends, and drove my dad's car for the first time.
We need another reunion, an open one, for some of us, maybe for the last time. 1983, 1988, 1992, 1998, 2005 and 2010... I only missed one. but pray for another.
I am honoured to continue to be on the Shilobrats web team and want to thank Lonnie Frankow, Ken Jenkins and Edith Walker (Mullen) for keeping us in touch. Nice job on the New Years pictures!!

Well now this is unusual for me to miss a Christmas Day posting here.

My wife asked me yesterday. " Did you ever have two Christmas Dinners in one day?" I said right away, "Yes I had two Christmas Dinners in Shilo one year. One at home and one at a lady friend of mine. I will keep her name a secret."

Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight, until New Years. :D

Merry Christmas to all brats and families out there.

We were thinking of everyone last night as I read Kemp Archibald's annual Christmas letter to Mom and Alexia. Kids having work and other family commitments last night, so we will have Christmas dinner with several families hosted at big kid's place (Johanna and Brendan) as usual Christmas Day, but presents, etc. tomorrow.

Not a week goes by that I don't marvel at how the four years of PEHS left such a lasting impression on us and everyone we meet from Shilo. It was a magical time and glad to have shared it with all of you.

Michael, in support of Floyd's comments, thank you for your very poignant comments regarding the "thread" that binds us ShiloBrats!

I had commented quite some time ago, that during my long career as a pilot flying back and forth across Canada, on a clear day, I would gaze down upon that " postage stamp in the middle of the Canadian Prairie" and muse how such a tiny geographical location could impact so many lives in so many ways.

Again, thank you for you capturing the essence of that thought!

Merry Christmas to all of us connected to the "postage stamp on the Canadian Praires".
