Who is D? Is it really necessary, D, to enlist a pseudonym to post a criticism on the guestbook? Why not just give your name, like everyone else does?

Wow Lynn, that is great news!! I must get this shilobrat's book; it sounds so interesting! Come to think of it.... one of our 60s shilobrats, Greg Greene, has written three novels, two of which I have read. They are (still hopefully) available on Amazon.com.

Well said Faye!...I think sometimes we 'Shilo Brats' have to be reminded that the team who work to keep this web site running are VOLUNTEERS...they do an amazing job but need us to contribute to the site from time to time to keep it fresh. So here goes...just to let you know that my friend Shilo Brat Micheal Pond has written a book 'Couch of Willingness' and has also just given an interview on BT Vancouver about his book and his incredible journey from the depths of despair to a happy life...you might want to check it out.

Hey Doug, thanks for taking the time to comment. I really appreciate it. Interesting that you say 'idyllic and peaceful'. Carol Ann also mentioned that the people look happy. I think they are. At least the African baby is HAPPIER than our babies (though he doesn't know it!) because he/she comes out of the womb and goes straight onto mama's back and on a back he'll stay for most of his time before starting to walk. Our babies go into plastic baby beds and get to eat out of plastic bottles and often go off to be raised by some other woman they have no connection with so mum can go to work to make money to ....... Well, I don't really know but I'm interested in going back to find out more about THAT way of life. :)

Mother's day today but I think we can all agree that every day should be Mother's day and we can never thank them enough.

Edie - I enjoyed your book. I had no idea people still lived so primitively; however,it looks very idyllic and peaceful, living away from the madding crowd's ignoble strife.

faye you go girl! to d take a minute calm down and remember what a true shilobrat is. we are born of fighters for peace, the key word being peace. stop pointing fingers and start communicating to fix the problem. I personally haven't contributed much to this site but I love it just the same. it brings back many fond memories of a very short childhood. y'all have a nice day. :o
