Comments: Hello shilobrats! and thanks Debbie Delmage for your thoughts on smells creating memories, as I know for sure when I think of living outside the gate, I remember the Pig Ranch!! Our web site is alive and kicking! and we have enough money that I don't have to go on a drive to raise funds! thanks to many shilobrats who, without urging, send their contributions to me (as treasurer), to keep the site going. thanks to you. This is the biggest military brats website in the world, and you all are part of it!

Comments: HEY!!! Just signing in and checking the place out... Hoping to see a familiar name or face So many great memories of people left behind or taken away. I lived in Shilo from 1980 until 1982 and we hit the road again to our next destination... If anyone knows of Kim Dempsey and her whereabouts I'd love to touch "base" ... Comments: Thanks for the update Kay. I was concerned that somebody might have just taken it. It's my very first memory of Shilo, driving past it on our way to the Base in 1954.

Comments: The passing of a Shilo Brat.
As for most of us living on base in PMQs was really the best part of our lives the friends - the fun we all shared I still remember it and do miss it but in the real world life marches on.
It is with great sadness that I have advise those who knew Danny Bodnaruk of his passing.
Danny passed away this morning April 10, 2014 in Red Deer, Alta.
He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends..

Comments: Hello everyone! This is my first submission to the Shilobrats web site. I've spent a most enjoyable morning perusing the comments and chit chat being shared by everyone! It is said memories last forever. However, memories have a tendency to fade and I will admit that living in such a high speed world, my memories have become somewhat foggy. Thank you everyone for reminding me that it truly is a joy to stop, (or merely slow down), and smell the roses. They say smell is the one sense we have which links us to our memories....thanks for the bouquet

Comments: I looked at this for the first time in several years, it was nice to see some familiar names. It was also nice to see some references to Shilo football. Thanks for reminding me Cam and Ian.
I also didn't remember the Panthers. I do remember that what I learned in Shilo let me play junior and college ball later in life. It was a great place to learn because we were always short of players so you would get thrown in and it was sink or swim.
