Comments: I have lots of good memories, Ian, of the Shilo Football team too. There were a few games we "almost won"!!! I remember alot of players but the one that stands out for me, was John Edmondson (not sure of that spelling). I believe he ended up out in B.C. He came back for one reunion for sure.

Comments: Ian's comments brought memories of playing football for PEHS. That concrete-hard, wind-swept, gopher infested field was the scene of many massacres of us wimpy, little army brats by those gigantic farm-boys from Neepawa and Carberry. However, there were "perks'-i.e. being released early from class on Friday afternoon to ride the Service Corps bus to games and fraternizing with those lovely PEHS cheerleaders-much to the chagrin of Coach Clark!!
Comments: I was just looking at PEHS memories and noticed a picture of a panther on the old gym wall and that brought back thoughts of the football team. I can't remember our team being called the Panthers (nice logo though)or even if we had an official name. I do remember that terrible, gopher holed field we used to play on and the size of some of those Carberry and Neepawa farm boys! Both of my brothers (Rob and Andrew)and I played for PEHS over the years and they were always tough, hard fought games. But I still remember the fun and that field!

Comments: Had a great Christmas season in Brandon Manitoba with my Helgason family. It was so busy that my two regrets were not getting to CFB Shilo, and not at least making a call to Diane Ripley. (wanted to grab a coffee with her). Now, heading into 2014, I wish all shilobrats a spectacular year ahead.

Comments: My fondest memories of Christmas is my family sitting around the table enjoying our turkey dinner and then dashing out to meet my friends. Of course it was dark by then and all you heard was the crunching of the crust of snow beneath your feet. And the snow spread out about you and sparkled from the light of the moon. I can still feel the serenity and peace of those evenings. Yes Shilo was a good place to be a kid. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you and yours.
