Just read your amazing tribute to your Mom and her service to the nation. I am truly moved by her story because, like you, I really didnt see my own Mother as having a life before "being Mom" She too served for 3 years in the CWAC. Of course, we have pictures of Mom in uniform and dozens of faces we didnt know anything about. It saddens me that I didnt realize sooner, the depth of her contribution to this Canada we call home. Thank you for reminding me and Thank You to your MOM and the other 22,000 young women who came to the defence of freedom.

I was back in Brandon Manitoba for 10 days in October. What a great time I had, even though I was there to visit my dad in the hospital. Got to see an old pal Lois Forke, Dianne Gray Moorehead, Alf Hackenschmidt, Heather Dalgleish and former shilobrat teacher and choir master, Gerald Brown.
Too bad I didn't have a chance to see many other brats who I think about regularly. :!hi:

I did more checking and we lived on frontinac ave.and every winter are back yard was a ice rink for hockey.

My days frome Shilo were 65 to 67 then to Soest.My dad's name was Chuck Gregory and my mom worked in the cafeteria. I was 7 when we moved there and have a brother and sister names are Cliff and Evelyn.

Hi there,I wish I could remember some of the folks I went to school with in 1962-63 Grades 4 and 5 at Kelly. My mother taught at Kelly from 1961-63. We lived on Alferston cres. It would be great to hear from anyone from those days. For those folks that maintain this site ,my hat is off to you. Great job.

I see so many familiar names on the guest book. I lived at 17 Sennybridge and left Shilo in grade 8 but have fond memories!
