It must be summer, the roadwork has begun. ShiloBrats has started paving to expansion beginning with the Pre 1960 section.
Check out the new format for a preview of what is to come. Each section will be made over for expansion, within the pages and the section, presenting a more organized viewing experience for all. Look for additional pages in each sub section at the bottom eg. Pg 1 / 1a / 1b

Michael Pond, Shilobrat from 1965-72 has a speaking and book signing event at NcNally Robinson Booksellers in Winnipeg this coming Thursday, July 10 at 7 p.m. and invites all his friends from those days in Shilo to come say hello! Bring your camera and take a picture for Shilobrats Reunions. :!cool:

How do you spell anonymous?, don't ask d, he can't even spell his own name, or much else, untill someone let the cat out of the bag and spilled the beans on him, so now d is coming out big time!

My family lived in Shilo from 1952 to 1959. I have 3 older sisters and 2 younger ones. My age while living there was 5-12 years old. I had a best friend named Linda Treleaven, her father was a sergeant I believe. I often wonder about her... I remember she had has polio as a small child. Would love to get in touch with her. Thank you for letting me post this.

Hi Bill and everyone else. The "Oklahoma" show you were wondering about was actually Shilo Varieties Music Through the Years. It was put on about 1961 and toured a few small towns in Manitoba around the Shilo area. The guys in the top row were called the J-Dees and played at a couple of the dances held around that time. I Think one of the members was our teacher, Mr. McGee. There were several teachers and parents in the cast along with a few students. It was a lot of fun to be part of. Not sure if Gillian Willerton, Lynda Prior and Marilyn Burchinal were in that one with me or if it was the one from the next year which was "Music Around the World. Hope this helps. It was a LONG time ago!!

Also, if anyone has any knowledge regarding a website, such as Shilobrats, set up for other bases, such as Picton, Petawawa etc., I would love to know about it. We spent half of our childhood between Camp Shilo and Camp Picton (Heights) Ontario. Also in Camp Petawawa. :o

Just checked in on Shilobrats. ( A little disheartening to say the least, to see such squabbling going on. Let's forge ahead and ONLY be constructive. )
