Hi Mike. Your sister Dorothy was a great friend of mine while we were in Shilo. Marilyn Jenkins, Shirley Baker and I have all been looking for her. Would you pass on a message to her to get in touch with me. Thanks, Dana

What ever happened to? … the Howie brothers, Brian and Bruce Howie, who delighted and inspired us with their music in the Sixties, forming Shilo’s first rock band ‘The Saints‘, and later in Winnipeg, ‘The Action‘

Edie has put together a new Special Edition to tell the story. Check out Special Edition in the side menu under Features.

Was looking through the fantastic 'Where you lived' pictures....the old duplex #9 sure doesn't look anything like it did in the 70's. There were holly hocks all down the side of the house & a buttercup hedge along the driveway. We shared a porch, connecting us with the Cameron's - Mr. & Mrs. Cameron, Carla, twins- Hazel & Earl, Camilla, France, Giselle, Jacqueline & two more, I think? Amazing how our huge families could cope with only ONE bathroom & so many girls!!

I lived in Shilo from 1960 to 1963. Just wondering what happened to a few old friends namely Gary Davis, Preston Pyle, Terry Brown,Ritchie Leskiew. My brother Al "Sonny" Harrington and myself are the only surviving members of our immediate family,my dads name was Bert "Fish" Harrington. We lived at 29 Alferston. It would be cool to hear from anyone.

We haven't been to the website since well before Christmas, so it was quite a shock when Mel read of Dave Findlay's passing. I can still see Dave's shy & smiling face from "way back then". Our thoughts and deepest sympathy go out to Jackie and their families.

Does anyone one have any pictures, or memories to share of the old Treesbank Ferry. I have such great memories of taking that back and forth across the Assiniboine River back in the 60's, getting to it from the bottom end of the Ranges, not far from the old Criddle Farm.
