I lived at 127 Kingston Avenue from 1970-1972. My parents John and Kath Mills, brother Gary and sisters Jan & Lisa continued to live there until my Dad was posted to Germany in 1974.

I lived in Shilo from July 1963 to September 1969 at 3 Esquimalt Crescent. I have very fond memories of my time in Shilo and made many friends: Sheila Rowland, Pam Dent, Kay Schrot, Julie Laverty, Larry Connors, Jim Gradwell and many more. Ah, fond memories!!!

Thank you for your great response to the Where did you live in Shilo? features. Starting with the Shilo-opoly forum in InterActive! which is still going strong, the Gallery album has been building steadily and now we have teamed them up for the Where did you live? directory. See What’s New for details.

Some of the information at this point is from fuzzy memories and hearsay, and will be updated, corrected and added to periodically as new information comes forward. This will never be a perfect document, but is done in the spirit of fun and to have you involved with the site. What do you remember, tell us in the Guestbook, post in Shilo-opoly, or send your information or corrections privately in the Contact form.

Where did you live in Shilo?

Eagle eye Sue, you are right, that photo was taken from the Howie's driveway across the street, at 59 Alfriston in the mid-sixties, you will see another one with them in it there. The duplex beside it is 46 & 48 and you will see what that looks like today with the 48 Alfriston photo. What a difference!

If you are having trouble remembering your address, the PDF Close Up! Map of Shilo PMQ's magnifies indefinatly and can be accessed by clicking on the Map of Shilo PMQ's photo in the Where did you live in Shilo? Gallery album. Also if your neibours are listed in the photos and you remember where you lived in relation to them, that map helps to figure it out.

Hi. Thanks to everyone for making this such a great site. I check in often just to catch up. My family, Pete and Jacquie and brothers Davy and Philip and I moved to Shilo the first time in 1958 until 1963. We lived at #10 Petawawa. I see that now that house has been moved to just outside the base. We lived beside Murray and Ilene Ingle and their kids Jimmy, Bobby and Karen. Next to them were the Billings. Across the street were the Clarks (Snuffy Clark was the swimming instructor). The Clements lived around the corner, and up the street were the Gradwells and the Bakers. We moved back to Shilo in 1969 - 1972 and lived at #1 Kingston Avenue beside the Balitskys. Mr B was my grade 10 math teacher. The Ponds and the Suttons lived just down the road. Shilo was the best place in the world to grow up in.
