Comments: How sad it is another Shilo Brat passes on. Dave was a great guy. We had a Mini Reumion a few years ago in Renfrew, for Eastern Ontario Brats and Dave and Jackie were there. It was great to see him after 40 some years. My deepest sympathy goes out to Jackie and The Findlay Family.
He will surely be missed by many Shilo Brats

Comments: I don't remember Dave Findlay, but I wonder if the Mrs. Findlay that lived on Sapper in the early sixties and taught me piano was his mother.

Comments: So everyone is still holding their breath waiting for the Skink Vote to be revealed in the coming What's New...well, I can't wait either!
'Shilo' will become the name for ShiloBrats mascot, Errol Bredin narrowed the name suggestions down to two meaningful choices to vote on. ‘Ivan’ and ‘Shilo’ and after the vote (most voted through the Contact page) ‘Shilo’ narrowly won out. Comments were made during the vote regarding gender or naming it after a specific person that many Shilobrats may not have had the privilege of knowing. There was a consideration of keeping both names, and having a male and female mascot representative. In the end, Errol replied “I feel, after reading all the great comments, that Shilo is perfect”

Comments: I also wish to add my condolences to the Findlay family, I remember as 14 year olds, Dave and I were junior golfers and spent every day of our summer breaks on the Shilo golf course. A real role model, Dave could par the course at 14.

Comments: I guess it's too late to add my vote for the skink--has it been decided? I would have voted for Ivan too. I've been away for a few weeks on an optometric mission with the Third World Eyecare Society to Olongapo in the Philippines, doing free eye exams and giving donated eyeglasses to needy people, so I missed the campaign.
Comments: It is with a sad and heavy heart that I must let you know that Dave Findlay passed away yesterday afternoon Dec 2, 2008. Please rememeber Jackie and the Findlay Family in your prayers.

Comments: Hey! just found this site and it rocks!! I could hardly keep up with all the memories. I would love to hear from anyone at all from Shilo. I was there for grade 9 and 10. Mr. Simmons and Mr Bohonos were my home room teachers. Remember "The Action"? Bruce and Brian Howies band? Romantic nights behind Frontenac, until the wind changed and brought in the pig farm!
