What about naming the skink Wilson, after Ron Wilson who died of exposure; froze to death in the winter of 1965. He and one of his brothers got lost in a snow storm around Shilo one night, by the time they were found Ron had died.

Hi! What a great website! Lived in Shilo for one of the best years of my life in 1960 at good old 48 Alfristan Cr. Dad was posted to Ontario in 1961 - Kingston to be exact - NEVER forgave the military for that! O'Kelly School and Miss Sheehan's Grade 9 (It seemed that I always sat in front of Joe Schiller!) were great! Missed it all a lot (yes, Miss Sheehan, I'm still trying to sell real estate!) Hi to all the old classmates, neighbours and friends that added so much to my life!

I think "SHILO" would be a great name for the site mascot.

Just a reminder to help name our skink mascot. Names put forward so far are Ranger, Gunner, Skinker, Reme the Skink ( in honour of RCEME) and PEPS in honour of our high school… and on that theme I am going to suggest PEPY.

Nov. 11 (remember) is the last day for name suggestions, or if you like any of the names put forward so far, please comment in the guestbook to help sway our judge Errol Bredin towards a popular choice.
