Comments: Edie, thank you for the great pic's of PEHS gym activities from our era! Those put the memory machine into overdrive! I think that the gifts displayed on the table were for a magazine subscription sales fundraiser blitz that we used to do in order to raise funds for the Condita yearbook. My poor Dad had to fork over mucho $$$ for that activity!
Can I buy a piece of the basketball hoop backboard instead of the floor ???

Comments: Hey Al, I think I better set the record straight here. As much as I would have like to have been, I was not a boyfriend of Pauline. Pauline was a great Shilo Brat and a friend of mine. I think of her passing with sadness different times. I really enjoyed bringing in the bands and seeing everyone dancing to the music.
I too remember the great basketball teams PEHS had. The cheerleaders did a great job of motivating the team and the crowd. " Kelly Green Gold and White Cone On Shilo Fight Fight Fight"
I would love to have a piece of PEHS Gym Floor as a memento.

Comments: And just in case you don't have much else to do on this beautiful Thanksgiving Day ... it's beautiful on sunny Grand Manan .... you can check out some photos taken in the PEHS gymnasium from my collection. Just go to the GALLERY on the side menu and click on 'edie's Africa' and you'll see the album there first up. Have fun tripping down memory lane ... you may even find yourself there ....
And yes, I'd like a piece of the ... ?? what, pie? rock? floor ..... so count me in too !

Comments: Well, I have lots of great memories of the PEHS gym ... being on stage to receive an award for 'coloring' during Fire Prevention Week in grade 3; attending Sunday School assemblies for years; tap dancing on that stage in a Variety Show in Grade 5; I joined the gym team in grades 8-10 and spent endless hours 'tumbling around' in there (my proudest moment that of executing a perfect handstand as Mr. Traill swung me above his head and we managed to hold it for all of 3 seconds maybe!); then numerous hours of cheerleading practice and all the fun during the games; I joined the Drama Team in '65 and can still recall the dreadful 'nerves' of the evening performance on that stage !!! all the special dances .... that FIRST PROM and going with THAT GUY you were really crazy about! YEA .... I guess I kind of grew up in that gym !
Comments: Count me in for buying a piece of PEHS!!!! (but let's also hear about our brats' memories that took root right there in the old gym.)

Comments: While it is great to see the memories coming in it was not the intent of my post.
What I wanted to know was; if, for a small cost, you would be interested in obtaining a piece of me. The proceeds of which would go to keeping the Shilo Brats Web Page going.

Comments: The artistry of people like Byron Brown and Moose Hoyland on the basketball court. Dancing to "Put Your Head on my Shoulder" with a certain someone clad in blue velvet. Skipping class with Gary MacGregor and hiding out in the foul smelling boys washroom - my first and last time.

Comments: I have lots of memories from the gym of PEHS...listening to Bruce Howie sing to Edith Walker from the stage, at a school dance, with tears running down his face, seeing petite Brenda Heppenstall play great basketball against girls twice her size, impersonating the Beatles on the stage for a grade 8 dance, along with Su-Ann Tuttle, Diane Gray and Karen Bredin, and doing laps and more laps and then laps after that. What do you remember?
