Comments: Hmmmnnnnn. A trip down to Vegas. Maybe one to Europe. These sound quite glamorous, but they are missing something very important...a connection to your past. How old are you now? 60....65? Do you think your friends will last forever? How important is your past? If you answer "not very" then I guess we don't need to see you. If you answered "very", what are you waiting for? Don't sit on the fence waiting to see who is going to come. Trust me....if you wait for others to sign up, nothing will happen. Be determined that you will be there to spread joy and rememberance and forget about Mandy in the 10th grade. If you come, maybe she will too.

Comments: Ahhh.. Valentine’s Day… “I shot an arrow into the air”
Every February, across the country, candy, flowers, and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine. But who is this mysterious saint and why do we celebrate this holiday? The history of Valentine's Day -- and its patron saint -- is shrouded in mystery. But we do know that February has long been a month of romance.
Edie’s February ShiloBrat News is now up on Sixties ShiloBrats and features some of the Shilo sweethearts who married and where they are today.
There were many Shilo sweethearts who married, acknowledge them with a dedication in the Guestbook as we follow the arrow to Valentine’s Day.

Comments: Thanks again for your responses last month to the Name Game contest. There were 3 correct guesses of Glen McLean for January, two from previous winners, and the new monthly winner is Ron Flamand, nice going Ron. Edie thought this was going to be a tough one, looks like she was right.
Edie is away on her sojourn to Africa for the next month and has the coming Name Game entries prepared. They do look tougher, so for a little twist, multiple names and themes to guess will add to the fun. Any correct guess is a winner, most correct guesses will be the monthly winner. Good luck!

Comments: Well, I went through my pictures from my time in Shilo (mid 70's), rescanned them, and will email them to Edie on Monday. I know she is busy the next few weeks and will get to them when she can. (Appreciate that, Edie.)
Most of them are personal pics (brownies and figure skating), but I did find Mr. Balteson's six grade class picture, and they sure did make the memories come flooding back.
I even had all of my report cards from 3rd through 6th grades in there! Hmmmmm, apparently I had "issues" with penmanship back then.
I'm still looking for the program from the "Donald Jackson Figure Skating Show" that the Shilo Figure Skating Club put on then. I know I have it somewhere and will dig deeper when I have more time. It's got lots of pictures of skating club members in it.
Take care all.

Comments: Wow that's going back some. Welcome aboard!
Mary-Lew is also asking: Question or Comment: Just wondering if anyone has any photos/info going back to the late 40's and early 50's. My Dad and Mom, Lewis and Mary Bagley and my Brothers, Ray, Bob and myself were in Shilo at that time. (1948 - 1952)
There are some photos from that time in the Pre 1960 section, and would love to see more. So here is an appeal to check with your parents if they were stationed in Shilo around that time or for any enlisted members from that time who may visit the site to check your photo archives for anything you can contribute to the ShiloBrat collection or the Gallery.
