Well, I went through my pictures from my time in Shilo (mid 70's), rescanned them, and will email them to Edie on Monday. I know she is busy the next few weeks and will get to them when she can. (Appreciate that, Edie.)

Most of them are personal pics (brownies and figure skating), but I did find Mr. Balteson's six grade class picture, and they sure did make the memories come flooding back.

I even had all of my report cards from 3rd through 6th grades in there! Hmmmmm, apparently I had "issues" with penmanship back then.

I'm still looking for the program from the "Donald Jackson Figure Skating Show" that the Shilo Figure Skating Club put on then. I know I have it somewhere and will dig deeper when I have more time. It's got lots of pictures of skating club members in it.

Take care all.

Wow that's going back some. Welcome aboard!

Mary-Lew is also asking: Question or Comment: Just wondering if anyone has any photos/info going back to the late 40's and early 50's. My Dad and Mom, Lewis and Mary Bagley and my Brothers, Ray, Bob and myself were in Shilo at that time. (1948 - 1952)

There are some photos from that time in the Pre 1960 section, and would love to see more. So here is an appeal to check with your parents if they were stationed in Shilo around that time or for any enlisted members from that time who may visit the site to check your photo archives for anything you can contribute to the ShiloBrat collection or the Gallery.

Hi there;
We didn't live in Shilo for long...January 1970 to August 1970...but met some wonderful people.
We lived at 53 Alfreston Crescent. The McAuleys live in the other half of the duplex.
Some of the names I remember are Audie and April Jones, Cheryl and Cindy Blair. Gordie Horne (his father was a minister) Dana Jones, Corrine Kelly, Karen Hall, Kim Sutton...Rick Jacklyn, Kevin Boutlier and David Johnston...Just to name a few.
My parents were good friends with the Suttons and Stew and Ella West. Ella West and my mom worked together in Borden before we moved to Shilo. If anyone knows the whereabouts of the Wests, my mom would really like to get in touch with Ella. My mom and dad are living in London, Ontario...
Great site. Now that I've found it, I will definately keep returning.

I'm visiting my mum and dad this week in Ancaster Ontario, so that's where I dug up the photos--the folks hadn't seen most of them for decades...there are lots more, but mostly just personal ones without much general interest. Maybe I'll post a few from our first posting, too, with such names as I can come up with. There are also a few from Korea that I might put up if I get time.

Anyone know anything about David Broome? Lived near the corner of the Packway and Kingston in the early sixties...his father was a corporal, I think. He had a younger brother Robert.

I've been checking out some of the yearbooks and whatnot of the cohort that's probably about 60 years old now--saw several babysitters that I remember. Theo Youmatoff, maybe Darlene Maher (certainly a girl named Maher who lived on Sapper baby-sat me) and the very hot Shelagh Fallon. I think that was my first babysitter crush. She taught me to drink tea (with a lot of milk in it) and play what in North America we call "Clue" but their game was a British version called "Cluedo".

Great pictures Tim ... wow, what a memory!! ... (I still play with that Ford Fairlane police car )

You must have been the best dressed kid at my 8th. birthday party!!

Johnny and Dora Neilson (mentioned in your choir photo) who lived 2 doors down from us on Sapper Avenue were tremendous friends of my parents.

In fact Tim, just to connect a few dots (further to our previous e-mail exchange), I've just posted a picture from Dad's photo album with a list of some of the people he served with in Korea, and your father is on the board, along with Johnny Neilson).
