Comments: Wow reading 578 entries brings back alot of memories. My dad was posted 2x in the 60's and again in 1975/76. I think as my mom once said, Jame Zdebiak & myself were the last born in Shilo in 1960. Pulled out the yearbook from 75-76, I was in 9c and was on the freshman volleyball and basketball teams. Great memories come back after looking at the faces and seeing the names of all the people I played sports or partied with. I still remember getting someone to buy beer for us from Crangs on a Friday night. Jackie Johnston I don't know how I ended up with your year book, but now you know I have it. I played alot of hockey over the years and stll have my hockey trophy from 1967 league champs Pee Wee Red Wings. When I joined the military in 1980, I was posted to Shilo and spent 1980-81 there. It was nice seeing all the changes. I still remember our house on Royal ave. across from the new firehall. The tree that we planted as kids was huge, I've always wondered if its still there. I think my kids have heard most of the stories of how my 4 brothers & I had fun and got into alot of trouble in Shilo. Would love to hear from some of my old friends, look forward to one day coming back to Shilo to see the changes.

Comments: Hi Judy, Edie's Newsletters appear on Doug Jordan's Sixties Shilobrats site first, which ShiloBrats link to, then move to Shilobrat News when replaced. The Shilo Sweethearts edition will be found there when Edie returns from her mission in Africa and transfers the file. Look for it soon.

Comments: Forgot to mention....does any of you know how to bring up Edith's "sweethearts pictures", as when I go into the Feb newsletter, her Guinea trip comes up. Interesting trip, but I'd like to see the pictures of Shilo's sweethearts as well.

Comments: An update on Ron Binkley.
Spoke with Ron on Thursday night. He's home from the hospital, starving and eating all the time, and doing and sounding pretty good. He's working with a Speech Language Pathologist, as his speech is a bit impaired from a small stroke he suffered during surgery, but the outcome looks really good.
He wants to thank all of you who sent warm wishes for his recovery.
Comments: In reply to Peggy Green's post of 8 Feb: Geez, Peg - you sure it was me? Must have been lots of stupid kids in long red/white striped toques who stuck their tongues on a fence that day....Good thing that doesn't qualify as my most embarassing moment... I too have many fond memories of Shilo in the mid-sixties, such as my parents signing me up for square-dance lessons, playing hockey on the rink some of our fathers built behind the house (Alfriston Cr), the pig farm burning down, the old Maple Leaf store and so on. When we moved to Ottawa in the mid 70's, we found out our neighbour was a former Base Commander - Ken Toms. Yup - small world.
Comments: Hoping to find a very dear freind, Gloria James.

Comments: I did not live in Shilo but went to Brandon University's Education Class in 1967-1968 with Angelika Scholz, who did hail from Shilo. We are holding a class reunion in the fall of 2008 at BU so I am trying to reconnect with Angie. I did get her email from someone here at Shilobrats but lost the info when my computer crashed last fall. If someone knows her and has her email, please send her mine so we can re-connect. Thanks

The Name Game…just three more days to take a guess at our three ladies impersonating the Beatles, a correct guess of any one of them makes you a winner, and if you don’t know any of them, you can still guess which Beatle is being imitated by each, including the headless one. Again any correct guess is a winner, most correct guesses is the monthly winner. All winners are eligible for fabulous outrageous prizes to be drawn at the Reunion.
