Comments: I realize it is short notice, but I am very happy to confirm that Mr. Gerald Brown will be bringing Miss Sheehan to our previously mentioned mini-reunion on Thursday, November 19,at 11:30 AM at Olive Garden on Portage Avenue. Please let me know by e-mail, Facebook, or Shilobrats if you are interested in attending, along with Denise van Rooyen (Pike) and I, so we can make a reservation. Doug Jordan - I hope you will be able to come. Is there anyone else that you think who would be interested in coming. You know, we're all closing in on 70, and if Miss Sheehan can make it, surely a number of her grateful students from 50 years ago should be able to attend Please let me know ASAP. Doug, there are 2 or 3 other things I would like to talk to you about. Could you message me on FB? Thanks!

Comments: Lest We Forget. ......In my Shilo days I remember quite vividly attending Rememberence Day ceremonies in the Sports Palace. The ice was removed and in the rink area was where the procession was held. We watched from within the bleacher benches. I was involved as a group member as a Boy Sout Troup in at least one Rememberence Day parade. I was very proud. After leaving Shilo and as a member of the Stadacona Sea Cadets in Halifax I again was proud to be on Parade. ...As a member of the RCAF I attended three Parades in my time. Never once was it a chore. ....Every year at our ceremonies here in CR I attend and proudly wear my service FF RCAF red arm band along with my wedge and badges. All with much pride. Lest We Forget.

Comments: Interesting, Doug.
A Wikipedia quote:
"Esperanto is a constructed international auxiliary language. It is the most widely spoken constructed language in the world.[5] Its name derives from Doktoro Esperanto ("Esperanto" translates as "one who hopes", the pseudonym under which physician and linguist L. L. Zamenhof published the first book detailing Esperanto, the Unua Libro, on 26 July 1887. Zamenhof's goal was to create an easy-to-learn, politically neutral language that would transcend nationality and foster peace and international understanding between people with different languages."
Comments: I remember one year Chucky Wright and I did the whole base and can not remember how many times we had to empty our pillow cases. The good old days when you ate the rice crispy squares on the spot. And then later on in the year I would finally throw away those horrible Halloween candies that had the Halloween wrapper and were now hard as rock. Enjoy Halloween and be safe. Cheers Turk

Konservu la spirito vivas. Revido venontjare Bill Gillespie..
