Hi fellow Shilo Brats!!! I was actually born in the Shilo Hospital in 1960, not enough time to make it to Brandon. Lived at 45 Frontenac Cres from 1960 to 1974!! My family lived there from 1955(?) to 1974. Many fond memories....playing hockey on the outdoor rinks, 9 pm curfew or should I say "SIREN", running behind the mosquito spray truck.... Sisters: Mary-Ann, Pat and Brothers: Jim and Myles. Both of our parents, Mary and William McReynolds passed on at very young years... The rest of us are all doing well. Merry Christmas to all!! Love the Website.

What a great idea for the PEHS mementos! Wish I had more 70's pictures, but all of mine have been submitted and are on the website already.

Even though I didn't attend PEHS (only O'Kelly and Greenwood, then we moved to Ottawa when I was in seventh grade), I had many good times in that gym with Brownie events, Christmas gatherings, shows, etc.

Merry Christmas to all!

'PEHS of my Heart' mementos will continue untill all are gone, send us photos for yours.

When it was learned that PEHS will be ‘bulldozed’ the thought became could any part of the school be saved and made into mementos for those may want one, and to see a part of our experience in Shilo live on. Shilo Administration were approached with the idea, agreed, and removed the original hardwood floor from the stage in the gymnasium, (the gym floor had been painted over) then cut and branded our ‘little PEHS’ mementos for authenticity.

The original idea was to use this as a unique fund raiser for ShiloBrats, however it was determined that what we really want is more photos for ShiloBrats. We know many of you may not have photos from your time in Shilo, but your friends will still be curious about you today 20, 30, 40 years from when they last saw you. To that end, 7 new albums have been created in the ShiloBrats Gallery Album to expand the range of photos you can send us to receive a ‘little PEHS’ memento. Any of the current sections on the site can also use more photos.

The 70’s & 80’s section were combined temporarily because of low input, but it is time for you to start building on these areas for your friends looking in. Any input of photos that are accepted will qualify for a ‘little PEHS’ memento, or in lieu of photos, and for additional mementos (for brothers and sisters, Christmas, birthdays etc.) a $5 each donation to the Shilo MFRC (Military Family Resource Centre) charity, which supports programs for Shilo area families and especially those with members deployed in Afghanistan. See What’s New for details.

The second part of this promotion comes from the thought, ‘what the heck would you do with one when you got it’ Well this is where it can be a lot of fun, first take a look at the slide show linked in What’s New to get the idea. What we want from you is to create a way to display your ‘little PEHS’ in any way you like, be it practical, humorous, creative or outrageous, then send us a photo to add to the ‘little PEHS’ display album.

The whole idea is to create more ways of having you interact with the ShiloBrats site and have some fun doing it, as well as expand the content and interest for future visits and newcomers.

A little piece of your past for a "little PEHS' of our past.
