Hi, All --
I've just added a couple of German tank pictures to my album of the type that were parked between the Catholic and Protestant churches. (Otter disagrees with me that the lighter tank was a Panther, but after surveying German inventory, I'm pretty sure I'm right.)
The shapes and features of those elegant, yet schrecklich instruments of war are indelibly burnt into the Kid portion of my mind. We played on them and in them summer and winter for 4 or 5 years. Does anyone have photos of the specimens that were actually at Shilo? Where are they now?

Hi to all Shilobrats's Brats.especially all you 60's brats. I'm writing from Iqaluit on beautiful Baffin Island where I'm working until July. BUT I WILL BE BACK IN AUGUST to help celebrate the Manitoba homecoming and revisit our old hometown. I've booked my flight, and I hope to see as many of you in August as can make it.(See Faye's posting May 17). Let's make this a special memory!

Finally getting around to scrapbooking my graduation pictures from PEHS 1979. Does anyone from that year remember the theme song for the graduation? Does anyone still have the write up in the paper that they could scan and email to me - mine got destroyed as I was removing it from one of the magnetic albums we used back then. Anyone have any clue where Mike Sowa is now? Thanks.
Teresa

Manitoba Homecoming Year!!!..... no better time to visit our old hometown of Shilo! Some of us are heading to Shilo for (at least) August 27th and 28th. HOW ABOUT JOINING US? Since our old school PEHS (PEPS) will probably still be standing then, we can tour the school! Even though it’s been unoccupied for a while, just walking down those halls will be quite a kick. We can walk through O-Kelly and Greenwood (now Crerar), then head over to Canex for coffee. There is a new extension on General Strange Hall, so we could walk through it as well as the original part. Waggle Springs is now fenced off private property, BUT we could try to get permission!
Some brats are staying at the Comfort Inn on the #1 in Brandon. The next day, we could meet at the Shilo Golf and Country club restaurant (is it called Rick’s?) for lunch, enjoying each other’s company and taking a few pictures! Maybe then visit the Faith Centre to see the items on the walls.
Let me know if you think you might be able to make it!!! Or post it in the Guestbook! Either Lynn Davis, Tanis Brown or I, will start an email list!

Shilobrats of the late 60's living in Winnipeg will remember dancing to the fun group Fabulous George and the Zodiacs. Shilobrat Don Jordan aka Fabulous George, joined the band (to avoid working summer jobs while attending U of M) and became the hottest band in Winnipeg, so much so that when the band reprised several years ago, CBC did a TV documentary about it. Don is now a lawyer in Vancouver but tonight he turns back the clock as one of the headliners at The World's Largest Social, 8pm, Winnipeg Convention Centre for Manitoba Homecoming 2010. Go Donny Go
