Comments: Just wanted to share a silly little memory with the 60's Brats:
I was just sitting on the back deck on a gorgeous late June Friday afternoon, and felt that old exciting anticipation that another school year at PEHS was just about about completed (I enjoyed every year at PEHS!)and a whole summer of barefoot and sunburned freedom lie ahead (Otter could relate to this!).
Fishing/camping trips to Waggle Springs (and other "secret" fishing holes along the Assiniboine River)with Jim & Paul Stewart/Peter Parsons (and dogs) were always high on the agenda. In the later summers(65&66), when the hormones started to kick in , it was hitch-hiking to the dance hall at Riding Mtn. Park for the Sat. night dances.
If my foggy memory is correct, the summer of '62 was particularly dry & hot on the southern praires, and many hours were spent in the comfort of the then-new Strange Hall Pool!
In early September, I always feel pangs of guilt about not showing up for class at PEHS-I await that call from Mr. Birch enquiring where the heck am I ??
Here's to happy memories of carefree kids' summers at that special place!

Comments: Art & Reg Sly did come, along with Glen Rennie and Alan Russell. The timing was great, stories and memories flowed and we had the room to ourselves. Brian Hopkins messaged about a time to come, unfortunately our computer access was very limited, and didn't see it in time, hopefully there is another opportunity. Thank's to all for coming out and for making our brief time memorable...Ken & Doug Jenkins Pictures are in the Gallery

Comments: Halifax mini-meeting June 10, 3pm - 9pm Airport Holiday Inn Express
My brother and I will be winding up our Nova Scotia "return to roots" trip in Halifax at the Airport Holiday Inn Express on Sunday, June 10.
We will arrange for a section in the restaurant/lounge area from 3pm to 9pm for a flexible time period for any Shilobrats to come by, say hello, and touch base with everyone there.
Some of the Shilobrats contacted so far are, Brian Hopkins, Danny Hannah, Alan Russell, Glen Rennie, Art Sly and Kevin Boutillier. If you know of others, please let them know.
This will be very informal, so come by, however brief, and we can add another mini-reunion to the ShiloBrats reunion list...will also have some 'little PEHS' mementos there.
Comments: Faye, hope you're enjoying all of our wonderful liquid sunshine here in Brandon.
