Comments: I've often checked the guestbook for news on old friends but it's been a long while since I've sent a note. I have to say I'm still in a state of semi-shock over Otters untimley passing. Way back when we shared some incredible times together along with David Coleman, Diane Marsden, Geoff Gamblin and others. I still treasure the camping trips we made to Waggle Springs. There was a stretch of mini rapids just west of Waggle Springs and we used to run them on large inner tubes. We set up a large tent on a beautiful sandbar and in the evenings we'd have a raging bonfire, let it die down and cook supper while enjoying a few "adult" cool-aids. On one of these trips we spied a huge snapping turtle in the marsh beside the river, it became our obession to capture the turtle we named "* * *-cutter". I and Geoff Gamblin and perhaps Otter missed final exams that year but we finally caught the monster turtle, 42 pounds of snapping beast. We took it to Shilo to show Ivan Traill, he admired the catch but was not the least pleased with our missing final exams! I will add a few more Otter stories in the next while. Thanks to a great ShiloBrats team, I have forgotten as to where I can send a donation please let me know. It is so important to keep this wonderful website going.

Comments: Happy Canada Day to all you ShiloBrats. I was only there 1962 to January 1965 but it was the best time. I loved the pics from Mr. Haas grade 8 class.
Comments: Kathie Cole is having some cancer surgery on July 5th. The great guy that he is, Glenn Darling is organizing a conference call to offer prayers for Kathie, on the evening of July 4th. Here's and excerpt of his announcement on shilobrats' facebook page: "If you are a friend of Kathie's,then I am inviting you and your friends to join us on a free conference call that I will set up, specifically to offer prayers for Kathie's well being, on the day before her operation. July 4th.
Prayer is a regular part of my life, and the conference call will go forward whether we have 2 or 22 or 122 people on the line." Kathie's Call" details will be sent to anyone who contacts me. All I ask is that you email your ShiloBrat friends with this invite, or one of your own making, after I send it to you. You are welcome to join the call and just remain silent if you wish.
Please send an email to prayervoice@37dotcom and I will send you the conference call details as soon as I set things up. Kathie's Call will start at 8.00 PM EDT, 5:00 PM PDT, on Wednesday July 4th. You do not even have to believe in the power of prayer to join in this little spiritual solidarity exercise in support of Kathie... the cute little kid who used to live about 100 feet from our house in Shilo, more than half a century ago. Remember brats, its July 4th! contact Glenn now! Faye

Comments: The Dave Findlay memorial golf tournament will be held on August 25th in Petawawa, Ontario. Are there any shilobrats in the area that would like to put a "shilobrats" team together for this best ball tournament. I'm definitely interested!
