OH WHAT A NIGHT!! I hope I get the count right lol. I think there was eight brats and two Bratworsts, as my wife Juanita likes to call herself got together on Sept 6 & 7th in Ottawa. We had one from Calgary and one from New Brunswick. We had dinner which lasted for quite awhile and then went back to Juanita and I's room.I will say no more on that subject the pictures will tell the tale when they get posted. Most of us got together for breakfast the next day and more chatter went on. It is so great to see Shilo Brats!!!!

So sorry to hear of Cheryl's passing. Cherly was a old classmate of mine. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. My condolences to her family. :!cry:

For all those that knew Cheryl Pointer-Byrne, I talked to her mother today & she has asked me to let you know Cheryl had been very sick.
Cheryl was a diabetic with acute pancreatitis and a 70% blockage of her heart. She died peacefully in her sleep last week & was cremated today. The family will have a private ceremony in the future.

For all you ShiloBrats I read to Mrs. Pointer (Herrington) all your responses and this is what she said, "Best regards & thanks to all for the kind words, prayers & thoughts. Wish we could all be around her & have a pizza PARTY!"

Faye has asked me to pass this along to all brats who are interested.

Terry Maskel is coming from the west to visit Ottawa! and he has some time for us Shilobrats! Kathie Cole might be here as well, from Callendar, Ontario.

Anyone who can make it, should come over to my house (a meeting place) and then once we think everyone has arrived, we can go out to a restaurant nearby for dinner. I figure if you can get to my pl ace anytime after 4:30 pm, have a drink, and then we can get a reservation for 6:00 pm.

I live at 10 Northgate Street. This is in Centerpointe which is in the west end of Ottawa. google map it! My home line is 613-727-8894, and cell is 613-762-3099.

Some of us are staying in a hotel overnight,so, we could do breakfast as well

It has been a long time since I have sgned the guestbook. I am excited to be going to Calgary on the 27th of September to visit Theresa Poirier and my son. It would be great to have a mini reunion in Calgary with anyone who remembers me. I had wanted to get to one of the many reunions that they had in Shilo, but there was always a reason at the time that I couldn't make it. I have never been to Calgary so I definitely am looking forward to it. Great website.

Following up...it was really short notice, on a summer weekend to boot, and in Naniamo...short for "middle of nowhere" but we came together in the spirit of Shilo.

Ken Jenkins, Theresa Poirier-Easterby (visiting from Calgary), Barb Willerton-Altseimer & husband Matt, and Andy Turner.
