Good news re the BC mini reunion! Terry Burns, now in Chilliwack, phoned tonite to say he will be there with his wife. Terry doesn't operate a computer. Many of you will remember him. His dad was also a fireman. Terry and I went to Grade 1 together in Bldg A10 before PEPS was built. I lived in Q lines at the time in EMQ's. ( Dan Hall - it sounds like you did too.)

Sad news. For those of you that new Nancy Hawkins, she passed away this past friday, July 27 from complications of pneumonia. Her service is this thursday in Winnipeg...

I spent twelve years in Shilo. I left when I was 16 and moved to Brandon. My last year in Shilo was 1963. My dad was a firefighter and we lived in the EMQs at the far east end of the base. I can't remember too many of my classmates because I hung out with the neighbourhood kids more than anyone else. The most notable of whom was Greg Leskiew, who went on to become lead guitar for The Guess Who.

Hey Bill, those BC Shilobrats have been just ITCHING for a mini reunion; they just were polite enough to wait till Wayne and I hit town for Wayne's daughter's wedding!
(Our BC hosts: Dave Kearney, Tanis Brown and Laurie Marsden, have promised to keep us all out of trouble.)

Re Mini Reunion in BC.
Please respond this week to Faye's email re attendance. I need to advise the restaurant this week whether it's a go or not. A preliminary count is all I need. I don't need a hard commitment at this point, so a yes , no, or maybe will do for now.

New additions to ShiloBrats! Look in What’s New!

Shilobrat News - the complete collection of Edie’s newsletters are now on site. Each month Edie's newsletter will first appear in Sixties Shilobrats then move to Shilobrat News.

Check out the new side bar menu line-up, and look for all the new additions under Features and Community.

InterActive becomes picturesque with the addition of ImageShock and Gallery
ImageShock allows you to add a photo to your post in InterActive!
In Gallery, you can post multiple photos in albums you create and view as a photo gallery or slide show.
Instructions for both are posted in The InterActive! Tour category in the forum.

The ShiloBrats design makeover is now complete, and there are more features still to come. The most important part of the site is the content, and that comes from you. There is a group from the 80’s collecting photos and such from their friends and classmates to soon add to the site. ShiloBrats needs more input from all of you. Any photos you have from your time in Shilo, any stories you can tell in InterActive! All input adds to the memories and enjoyment of ShiloBrats. New material and input keep the site interesting for all. Gallery will allow you to upload any digital material to add to the site content, be it Sports, Groups, Entertainment, The Way We Are, the way we were. Photographs, clippings, scrapbooks etc. can still be sent to Edie for quality scanning and will be returned, see What’s New for details.

Note: Contact Us is disconnected untill we can find a new safe form. Our site host has informed us that spammers have found a way to use our form to spam the site.

Leave it to an Eastern Shilo Brat (Faye) to organize a minie reunion for the western Shilo Brats Ha Ha. Maybe, after they see how much fun it is they will do one on there own ha ha.
