I had an e-mail from Susan Parsons yesterday and I thought some of you might be interested in knowing that her dad, W02 Jack Parsons, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21 of cancer. Some of you may remember him being involved as a hockey coach and ref for the kids teams when they lived in Shilo on Alfriston Cres.

Our sincere condolences to you Susan, Paddy & Peter.

Hi Ken, You and I were in the same class in high school. I'm finally finding some folks on the site that I know. Tom Jenkins and I were best buds for a few years in Shilo and we just re-connected a few months ago through ShiloBrats (and Tom's sister Marilyn, who is a member). I'm sure Tom would like to hear from you. He's in Ottawa too, so a get together "in person" could be in the cards. I was told about this site from a girl that I went to school in Shilo with. Great site. Nice to look at the year book with pictures of my former classmates. Was in Shilo from 1967 till 1972. then got posted to Borden Ontario. Just recently connecting with my buddys from Shilo. Also trying to find TOM JENKINS. Anyone knows where he is let me know.

Edie, What a great personal sense of honour you have presented of the 08 Shilobrats Sixties Reunion! And Trudeau, my favourite thing about him was that he always carried a rose and wasnt afraid to step up in the political arena.

Finally ... somebody I know, after checking this great site daily for over a year!!! Blake Mooney, Alfreston Cres. ... how the hell are you!?

I was born a ShiloBrat .. in 1955, and lived there on 2 subsequent occasions, from 1963 to 1965 and 1967 to 1970. God's country! Returned for a week of duck hunting (Strathclair / Salt Lake) for 29 years running every October after that. Then a great nostalgia motorcycle trip back to Shilo / Strathclair this past June. Hope to do a return trip for the reunion next summer. Thanks to the mods for putting this great site together!
