If a mini reunion happens, Dave, and if it happens to be around Sept 1st (my niece's wedding in Vancouver), PLEASE LET ME KNOW! I'm in Vancouver from August 29 to Sept 3. I know I'll be seeing Tanis for sure, but a dinner with a few 60s brats would be fantastic!

Thanks for the email, Bill. The last reunion was a real highlight in my life but I don't expect to make it to the next one. I had thoughts of organizing a small one in Vancouver for BC residents but I am way too busy to handle it. If anyone locally wants to pick up the challenge, I would do whatever I can to help. There is close to a dozen brats in this area and more on Vancouver Island. It would be great to do it this year, so as not to interfere with one in Shilo. Anyone up for this?

Thanks to all the folks who have worked on the website. It is wonderful to review the many facets that it presents. I will check to see if I can complete some of the names for the students in some of the photos. I did submit them to Otterkin, and since he sent them back, I have filed them in the Brandon University Archives.

I would be interested in attending a reunion in 2008, and might be able to encourage some of the teachers from the 60's when I was on staff to come too.

I enjoyed the reunion the teachers had in 2004, and the 60's one in 2005. Great to see everyone again, and to recall happy times. I enjoyed my years from 1959-1965 teaching grades 6 and 8, and lots of music and library work in all three schools.

I am just back from two weeks in Crimea, Ukraine, where I participated in an international library conference, did some workshops on information literacy, and enjoyed a holiday. It was really beautiful travelling and relaxing there. The weather was from 25 - 32 degrees every day. Occasionally there was some rain in the evenings, but the weather was good. A cool breeze from the Black Sea every evening made it good for sleeping.
This is my fourth trip to the area. I enjoy it there very much, and am getting to know more people each time. There were about 1700 people at the conference. It is a little difficult since the common language is Russian, and I don't know any of that language. However, the translators who are assigned to foreign delegates are very helpful.

I will be home now for two weeks, and then off to another conference in Taiwan (11-25 July.)
Then I will be home until some time in the fall.
I hope to go to Moscow in October, but am still waiting for the details. The Philippines is in the books for November too.
