Comments: Doug can joke about it and joke about my problem. I had a brain tumor operation three years ago and my left side was bugerd up. at least I have all my lims and can feed myself, walk with my dab foot now and can wipe my _ss by meself. There are others out there werse than me, like Doug and others. Yes we can joke about it. I tell people out there to call me skip one drag one, or hop along Dougie and I should yell timber when I fall. Yes a person has to joke about it or it will drag you down in the dumps .Until the shoe is on the other foot, shut the hell up;;; ( sorry about some of bad spelling );;;Bye

Comments: By the way, here are two comments I received from Parkinson's victims who have lived with the disease for some time.
Been reading your blog since day 1. Its really interesting and despite that serious front that mostly comes across on the UK forum, I detect a quiet sense of humour lurking beneath the surface and most importantly, the ability to laugh at yourself. Brilliant job. Thanks
and
yes I enjoy reading it and am glad that you see the outlook as sunny
and I agree that the ability to laugh, including at yourself, is vital
Comments: Sorry you feel that way Nancy, but if you had the disease, as I do, you would have to find some humor in it because the alternative is unappealing.
By the way, "Parkie feeling" is used by victims throughout the Parkinson's community.

Comments: I AM VERY DISTURBED THAT YOU WOULD JOKE ABOUT PARKINSON'S,"PARKI FEELING" TOTALLY INAPPRORIATE,MANY PEOPLE ARE STRUGGLING WITH THIS DIBILLITATING DISEASE AND NEED SUPPORT.
Comments: I am blogging about my journey with parkinson's and find it very therapeutic. If you have an interest, please join as I need an audience. If you know any Shilobrats with parkinson's, please ask him/her to contact me. My blog is at wpgchap dot blogspot dot com. I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Comments: First thing I did this morning on my computer was check out the Guestpage at Shilobrats. Second thing I did was check out "I've got that Parki feeling", Doug Jordan's new blogspot. Third thing I did was sign up to follow him on this new chapter of his LIFE. Doug gets my vote !!
Comments: I was only in Shilo a short time. Dad was stationed there for a project with Drone Troop. He was Air Force and I thought it was wierd that we were on an Army base. We were there 1968 - 1970 and I attended grades 5 and 6. I think we lived at 42 Esquimalt but now I am not sure. I thought it was funny that we were posted to CFB Greenwood after we had been in Greenwood school. I remember railway tracks, grain silos, mosquito fogging machines trying to poison us in the middle of the night, the setting sun on a summer night looking like it could swallow up the earth, winters like no other I have experienced and I left my tonsils behind in Brandon hospital.

Comments: Hi! Sigrid Debby Bennett, you and I graduated from PEH at the same time. I think you also knew another friend of mine and Debby's... Sheila Arsenault who lived in Winnipeg (Fort Osborne).
