Thanks Faye for your help. Question for you are you the Faye that was in my class in highschool? Laying around last night and another memory came to me and it is hockey related. Early 60's Shilo entered a commercial league that had Brandon and surrounding towns in it. The base team was coached by Staff Sgt. Dixon. They couldn't ice a full team from the enlisted guys so Staff recruited some of us local guys. I was maybe 15 or 16 at the time. I can only remember myself and Garry Pottinger aka Porky. Anyone remember this? Staff's daughter was Connie. If you are there Connie maybe you can remember.

Hi to all I just recently found the website and am totally impressed with the number of people that I knew that are still staying in contact not like myself. I am sorry for those friends that are not here anymore and only wish I could have talked with them before they left.

You're absolutely right Bill, I'm sure none of us take what we had for granted growing up in Shilo, but trying to explain that to someone who didn't experience it is almost a waste of time. It was just to good to effectively put into words.

I think this is the reason why the ShiloBrats website is so special, as we all are bonded by those great times.

Recently, as I passed once again at 43,000 feet above that little dot on the prairie landscape on a clear day and looked down and mused about the many lives that this obscure little location has influenced over several decades, I looked at my co-pilot and thought "naahhh, don't even say anything-he won't understand!"
