Comments: Hello to all the 64 to 67 Shilo Brats. I just realized that it's been 44 or 45 years since I've seen most of you. I for 1 think I have made a terrible mistake not keeping in touch with you. With that in mind, would there be any interest in getting together for a mini reunion in or around Edmonton or Calgary in 2012? If so, lets start the process. Respond to the guestbook and to my direct e-mail if this is of any interest to you. My e-mail is terryandholly@shaw.ca. :!cry:

Comments: I am back in Iqaluit, Nunavut doing another six week tour of duty. And today I attended the Remembrance Day ceremonies here in Iqaluit which were held indoors (for obvious climate related reasons)in the large Cadet Hall next door to the Canadian Legion. In spite of a winter storm warning, the hall was filled to over capacity with many left having to stand, which they did. They were all people of Nunavut (Nunavummiut) but of different races, but they all sang the same anthem, held the same two minute silence, and paid tribute to the fallen with tears in their eyes. It was a very heartwarming site. Even here in the high Arctic, they remember.

Comments: Everyone knows I'm proud to be an 'Army Brat'...and it is that time of year again.
The soldier stood and faced God. Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining, Just as brightly as his brass.
'Step forward now, you soldier, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To My Church have you been true?'
The soldier squared his shoulders and said, 'No, Lord, I guess I ain't. Because those of us who carry guns, Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was tough. And sometimes I've been violent, Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny, That wasn't mine to keep... Though I worked a lot of overtime, When the bills got just too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help, Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God, forgive me, I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place, Among the people here. They never wanted me around, Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here, Lord, It needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't, I'll understand.
There was a silence all around the throne, Where the saints had often trod. As the soldier waited quietly, For the judgment of his God.
'Step forward now, you soldier, You've borne your burdens well. Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets, You've done your time in Hell.'
Comments: Thanks Floyd for your information about Bob Findlay. I am very saddened to hear the news since I have lost contact with him in 1963 when I left Shilo. I went on the Brandon General Hospital website and sent him a message on the Well Wishes page.Bob and I hunted rabbits out on the ranges. We had a blast one day when Bob and I cleaned out one bush of 23 rabbits. Bob was fun to be with.

I don't think it is at all silly. This is a special time of the year. So do the mash, do the monster mash, it will catch on in a flash and it was such a graveyard smash!

I know it is silly, but I feel compelled to once again remind you that the Krypt Kicker will soon arise to wreak havoc upon the land & the virtual halls of PEHS!
The only prevention is for us all to do the "Monster Mash"!
