Comments: All this talk about winter weather! Depends on where you sit. I was just down in S Carolina where residents were complaining about the winter conditions - it was 40+F. Back in Ottawa it is a balmy -25C and this seen as a warming trend. I remember Shilo in winter when -3- was not unusual and we could skate on the roads to play shinny. Two more months to go!
Comments: I agree with the comments below; although I don't mind the facebook page. I think it is easier for the Keepers of the Shilo Past to post on FB.
I have no news to report. Every day is much like the one before. My parkinson's seems to be moving along at a glacial pace and I am grateful for that. Having it has been an impetus to write again and so I maintain a blog that to date has had 30,225 page views. Just google "I've Got That Parkie Feeling" if you want to read it.
We are off to Florida for a few weeks to escape the frozen prairie and travel forward in time to find summer in Miami Beach. Paris in September soo. Meeting Don there. I have been brushing up on my french using Duoling, but I doubt I will ever have the nerve to speak it.
That's it - Doug J. My contribution to Shilobrats Guestbook.

Comments: Doug. Bill - 13 years ago when Dave first set up Shilobrats (and my kids were showing me how to use a computer) I used to check this site first and there would be 4 or 5 postings from old friends about various memories. Now I check once a week, and sometimes there's nothing posted for weeks. I'm not much of a computer geek, but is there a way relative posts on FB (such as all the dialogue from the last 2 months about L-25, the theatre, GSH, the movies, the bowling, the swimming, the pinboys, etc.) could be incorporated in the Feature section, with a notation on the Guestbook for those (Facebrats?) who don't want to plow through the stuff on Facebooks. Just wondering.

Comments: I agree with all the latest comments about posts to Facebook versus posts to "OUR" page and its guestbook. I am not a big fan of Facebook and there are other Brats out there that may be like me and when checking out our Guestbook wonder why there are not more recent posts. I love this site and really encourage Brats to contribute to it much more. PLEASE DO IT!!

This is the first time you and I have agreed. While, I use Facebook I do not go to the Shilo Brats on Facebook. I would much rather come here for news. I hope that the web team spend as much time here as they have in the past and not take some time from here to support Facebook Brat postings.
