Recording Announcement and Fundraiser
To all fans of Greg Leskiw songs and music. We're pleased to announce that Greg Leskiw will begin working on a new solo album in October. After an extended writing sabbatical with much time spent in Nashville, learning and honing his writing skills, this will be Greg's first recording since the release of the Swing Soniq album Love Wild in 2004. To fund the album, we're asking for support from fans and lovers of Greg Leskiw music by “passing the hat” to raise money for this new recording. If you would like to contribute to the making of this new record, please call Greg at 1-204-261-5283 for more details. The album will be a collection of some of the many new Canadiana and Americana songs Greg has written over the past ten years. If you would like to listen to some of Greg's past work, please go to Youtube.com/Greg Leskiw and press channel. You will hear Mjj [Mood jga jga]. The LesQ Band, One Eyed Jacks and Swing Soniq. Comments: Greetings every one, must be the year for Shilo Brats to get reaquainted, got a phone call Friday afternoon from Brian Smith(Bev, Linda, Barb,Ron & Wayne) he and his wife Connie were heading up to the Elkhorn Resort @ Clear Lake for a week of R&R. I went up this afternoon and had a good visit. Brian passed over pictures and news paper clipping from 1965 when he received an award for best rural news paper carrier Col. J. S. Orton was making the presentation and my mother was as she was the Brandon Sun agent in Shilo. I think mum will be pleased to see these pictures after all these years.
Comments: My family lived at 85 Frontenac from Nov '85 until the summer of 1992. I'm told the house is no longer there, it's a golf course?

Comments: Well sadly our mini reunion has come and gone. I have been volunteering for 68 years now. Some people ask me why do you do all the organizing? When it is event time and everyone is laughing and smiling that is enough for me to see to make it all worth whiled Once again, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. It was great to have Faith and Faye to help organize it, we made a great team!. By the looks of the room party afterwords I wish I would have stayed for that .
It is too bad there is not more mini reunions around the country. If anyone wanted to organize one I would be willing to help out. It is so easy to communicate with the internet.
Until we meet again Shilo Brats/ Happy Trails To You!! lol

Comments: My mom, Margaret Morand (nee Brinkmeier) was the secretary for the Base Kommandant in the 70's. She was married to Roger Morand, a Canadian corporal, and then married Willi-Hubert Bolz, before leaving back to Germany in/around 1976.
I lived with my father Roger and my brothers Chris and Rick on Petawawa and Ubique, and attended O'Kelly.
