Comments: Didn’t see the broadcast, but the reference to Shilo’s Grey Cup would be about the other cup donated by Lord Earl Grey as a trophy for General Efficiency by Coast Artillery units and is normally on display in the Officers Mess at CFB Shilo as the home of all artillery units.
“Not many people realize that Earl Grey produced two cups,” one that is revered by football players and fans and the other now in an officers’ mess to honour the artillery.
Anyone else see the broadcast? Please comment… and if a photo is available, please let us know.

Comments: WEEEEE, Shilo was mentioned for its Grey Cup it has, before the Grey Cup game started
Comments: I swam with the Shilo Goldeyes back in the 60's, I think about 65,66. I sure remember a lot of the names I saw on this website. My dad, Major B. Watch used to help out at events, usually as the starter. I don't know what made me Google the goldeyes, but it brought back memories. Hello to all!

Comments: I was really hoping to attend the Remebrance Day service at Shilo tomorrow, which I've done for many years, but weather conditions here in Manitoba will mean I have to watch coverage of the Ottawa service. Remeber the moving services we attended in the old hockey arena way back and services held in the old high school gym? I very sadly read the ages and looked carefully at the faces of the 20 young soldiers posted on the home site, I had to walk away and think of the thousands lost in WW1 and WW2.We owe them so much and my heart reaches out to them. I remeber and am so thankfull, they paid the ultinmate sacrifice for the life we enjoy today>
