Attended Ron Binkley's Celebration of Life on Sunday, May 19th. The place was full, although not as many Shilo Brats as I thought there might be. The family did an awesome presentation, and the tone was light. Ron would have been proud! Bless you, "Ronnie", and we'll see you "up there". :!cool:

Hi Ian
If you lived on Corydon in Winipeg,we lived in the other half of the duplex. You might remember my youngest brother Richard. Also I found a picture of your dad in Korea in government archives.

I lived in Shilo from 1955 thru 1959 while ages 8-13.
Family homes at 39 Frontenac and 21 Esquimalt. Best friends were Brian Brooks, Tom Sallows, Andrew Smith, Greg Leskiew. Also remember Glen & Tony Darling, Joey Gladwin, Jackie Trelevan, Susan Brown, Laurel Janz, and many others. Would be delighted to hear from any of the above or others whose names escape me.

Lived in Shilo at 2 Alfriston Cresc.1960 - 62. We were bused to Brandon for grade 11 in '60 - '61 and then PEHS for '61 - '62. Left for Royal Roads Military College in fall '62. Great high school life - Pres. Student's Council, football, hockey, basketball, swimming, volley ball, organized Teen Town (Wayne * * * was the DJ.) - even time for a high school sweetheart! Life is still good.
Reunion in Kingston in July could be in the cards.

Just saw the note about Ron. I still remember when he had that Honda 50 and we decided to skip school one day to go into Brandon. As I recall, we were heading to the Canadian Inn to see the first strippers allowed in town but that may be wishful thinking. Both of us loaded on to the Honda and took off on the low road - right into the usual strong gusts of wind. I think it took us at least a few hours to get to town including us each taking walking shifts where we outpaced the bike. Of course, by the time we got there the show was over and we had to head back. Those were simpler times - Ron , rest easy my friend and thanks for the memories.
