CBC Radio Two sponsors a national choral competition biannually. This Sunday morning the program "Choral Concert" will announce, among others, its finalists in the chamber choir category. One of the three finalists is i Coristi, a 17-21 voice choir from Edmonton. The finals are live to air Tues and Wed, May 2&3 beginning at 6:00 p.m. MDT. on CBC Radio Two. i Coristi will perform last on Wed. If you are listening,I am the one huffing and puffing in the tenor section. If you are in Edmonton, please join the audience in All Saints' Anglican Cathedral and let me know you're there afterwards. Gerald Brown, your work with school choirs, and Mrs. Keegan with the boys' choir at St. Barbara's Chapel has come to this. I now get to inflict my hobby/pastime on national radio. Ron

Hi Ron Flamand. Re: the "wear red on Friday" email, I was the one who sent it to you. I got it from Otter, so he may know where it originated from in the first place. I plan on wearing red on Friday for sure!
On another note, does anyone know the whereabouts of Doug or Alan Bittle??

Hi everyone. This morning I received an email sent to Shilo Brats entitled "wear red", informing us that red Fridays are in support of our troops until they are safely home. The address is shilobra**haw.ca. there doesn't seem a way to respond to the sender. I am certainly in favour of supporting our troops, but does anyone know anything about this, or where this may have originated? Otter?
Hello Ken Jenkins. I lived on the other side of you ( from Theresa et al) on Esquimalt way back there in the fifties. I remember playing a homemade version of football on long Friday summer evenings in the school yard with you, Doug, Alf & Joe H. etc. I could not have been older than eight or nine. This is an awesome place. Thanks Otter. Have a good day everyone. Ron

Lonnie Frankow.....oh we could tell some stories, but I still think we have parents, wives, kids, etc. and it might cause their untimely demise (or ours). Now, if only Andy Turner would turn up, we could at least do the nudge-nudge, wink-wink thing.

Hi everyone! I stumbled onto this site about a year ago and have enjoyed perusing the familiar names and faces of so many friends and classmates from so long ago - lots of great memories. Anyone who cares to drop me a line or two, please feel free to do so.
We were in Shilo from 1962-65, and now reside in Edmonton. Keep up the great work on this site!

Edie's second newsletter is at the site to your left. Edie wants our photos - recent trips, children, grandchildren, etc - and she will put them into her newsletter. We all want to know what is happening in your lives. She is willing to make a weekly newsletter but she needs our help. Remember, some of us might not be here for the next reunion, so bring us up-to-date. Edie's email is edie007@nb.sympatico.ca.
