Comments: Amy Jesso: The one thing we all have in common is that we were all children of serving members and we all lived in Shilo at one time or another. Some of us did join the military and some of us married back into the military family. My family moved to Shilo in the winter of 52 and my dad retired from there in 63. I for one left Shilo in 1963 and ran away to the Navy. I am still a serving member.
Comments: Just a question.. looking at these pictures.. were you all civi or any of you in the military at this point? Or ever decided to join. Or just ' base brats ' ?
Comments: Doug Rodgers: Doug if you hear from or about the Bakers please "E"mail me. Don, Ricks brother and I were close friends and we lost contact when I left Shilo in 63. AL RUSSELL

Comments: Anyone have any information about Rick Baker? He was a Shilo Brat from the earlier 1960's.
Comments: Greetings all. I just viewed Edie's mothers day newsletter. What a great job. Its nice to see the Shilo spirit passed on to future generations. I like to check the website from time to time to see what's new and who has signed on. Growing up in Shilo was the BEST!! I was there from 1960-65 (grades 8-12). Where else could a not so great athlete get a chance to play on the school teams? Where else could we get the chance to perform with Shilo Variety Shows? Such fond memories of being a teenager in the best environment. Keep up the good work everyone. The site is fabulous!! Thanks to all.
Comments: Hello, Otterkins. What a great job you’ve done in capturing so many memories of Shilo and those of us who have been a part of it! Karla O’Donnell (Class of ’82 and we drank Blue!…LOL) led me to this site and what a treasure!
It’s really great to read all the comments and entries….It’s nice to take a trip back. I’m one of the lifers out here…been here since ’71 and still lovin’ it. Shilo has been through some drastic changes, but you can still see remnants of the past and feel the spirit around here that has captured the hearts of so many of us.
Like Amy, I’ve passed on the website address to many friends who are still in the area, and are hoping that most of us will be at the ’07 reunion. Can’t wait to see everyone again!

Comments: Amy...Welcome! from a pastBrat to a present and futureBrat. It's great to hear from someone who is living there. You or friends could help make the new ShiloBrats Forum really interesting by posting stories occasionally about present day life in Shilo. I'm sure more than a few would be interested.
I've ventured here before and must say , it has left me astonished. To see what Shilo was like in the pervious years - so full of life! It's truly amazing and I have given the website to many ' newbies ' I know who also live here , or have been posted here. It's nice to see what people here use to be like , and how full or spirit Shilo was ( and still is! ). It's a great website , and the pictures and memories really left me smilingand my heart warm!
