Comments: Gosh. You's Guy's. ...... I was born in 1948. I was in nursery School in old 'H' huts when houses on streets like Ubique were darn new. We lived in the huts when we first went to Camp Shilo. Then on to kindergarten. All of my early schooling was there until we left in around 1960 ish. We had a smaller house across camp until we got into #7 Ubique. ....I cannot recall the name of one teacher from those days. only one or two teachers from NS. I attended up to Gr.11 there but left to enlist in AF. in 1966. I completed Gr.12 and then some in BC at CFB Comox. I remember most teachers there. Shilo teachers are a blank. My younger brother Larry tells me the same story. ....I remember much about Shilo for sure but not teachers names or faces. Chuckle. My brothers and sisters always called me a teachers pet or Apple polisher.

Comments: Thanks Ian, I think I can handle these guys by myself, fortunately it wasn't Miss Sheehan or Mr. Traill, then I would need your help for sure!
Comments: Ken - are you looking for help? Should I bring my gang?

Comments: In 8 years of school in Shilo, I only got the strap twice. and both of those teachers are going to be at the lunch with Mary T Sheehan Student Teacher Reunion, Thursday April 27.
Talk about not seeing someone for a while! Do you still drive that Ghia? I had even forgotten some of the nicknames so that was a little memory jolt in itself.
This is my "memory voyage" where I conclusively prove that what I recall from almost 50 years ago is completely false or I can embellish them. See you
Ian

Comments: Speed: Lois and Rod are both still in Brandon. I haven't seen Wilt in a fair while, but he will be retired now from Experimental Farm. Lois is officially retired from nursing, but takes call-ins to Brandon General very regularly.
Looks like we will all be in Winnipeg after all. #1 SIL stepped up to the plate to take care of all of the grandkids that day (he is off at fire dept and NSAKS R that day) and little kid will be around to take all 3 of them for the evening. I just detoured on way to Chicago, so worked out fairly well.

Comments: Ian - the weather has been amazing and the snow was gone some time ago. I think the lake still has ice and the temperature is taking a nose dive tomorrow but it won't be long before the cottage is open and summer drops in.

Comments: Hi, We lived @37 Sapper Ave. From 1969-71. The Olsen' lived @ 35 Sapper when we moved in, but moved about a year later. We can't remember the next family, but then the Rich'/ from England were there from late 1970, but we are unsure when they moved as we already left. The Sangsters were living @39 Sapper when we moved in, but left a short time later. We can't remember who moved in. We think the Guttersons lived at 29 sapper - they were there the whole time we were there. Lori would to hear from Carol Selwyn.....
Comments: This lunch for Mary T seems to be expanding nicely and allows me the opportunity to see Winnipeg after about 40 years since my last visit. Looking forward to visiting the new museum for Human Rights and just seeing how much the city has changed.
Then my wife insists that we leave that oasis and travel to Brandon and Shilo on the 28 & 29 April - a trip long planned as my last visit to the camp was in 1996 when we scattered my father's ashes on the last fairway of the Shilo Country Club. Wonder if 27 The Packway still exists!
If anyone knows where Rod March or Lois Forke(?) has retired to I would appreciate the contact so I can try to look them up. Thanks in advance.
PS Has the snow gone from Winterpeg? Ian

Comments: Gee, there is no place else we would rather be on the 27th than Winnipeg, but Alexia will have a house full of grandkids, my Mother will be giving her a hand and I will be on a project in Chicago area. So sad. Please give our best wishes to everyone.
